Rockin it in Los Angeles

There's something to be said about friend-chemistry. I felt like I was hanging with an old friend all day with Carley, who showed me some local digs in LA my second day there. We shopped and had lunch and giggled all day like crazy, silly girls. We bought matching midi-rings at Milk and then promised to get our ears pierced together (that second part fell through of course). It was so much fun though! I feel like I made a life long friend this weekend!











Anyhow, we connected with her boo, Jake, later in the day (who is equally as awesome AND a follow actor)! I grabbed these candid shots of them at the magic hour, which is made even more beautiful in West Hollywood's tropical setting. Love you guys so much! Thanks for rocking my weekend babes.

Behind the Lens: Lavenda's Closet

I style for shoots often, so when it's time for me to update my own book, I get super excited! My new agents wanted me to get some lifestyle, college/ girl next door shots to update with, so I went with some simple summer staples. I added the tiniest bit of personality through pops of color and an interesting peplum to a simple, white shirt.

Had a lot of fun working with Travis Geny for the first time and LOVED what Janelle Hayden did with my hair and makeup.

Lavenda's Closet: Florals for Spring

Have been slammed like a mo-fo sine late winter and haven't been posting many outfits except for insta-on-the-go... Easy iphone shots- that sort of thing.
Anyhow, here's a lovely little outfit I styled for a shoot with Robert Hamilton recently. The top is by Brady Lange, one of my favorite Portland designers and super HOT right now. He just had a recent pop-up at Solestruck shoes.



I own a few of his amazing pieces and this little floral crop top is a custom fitted halter that I've worn with high wasted jeans and skirts. Love it with these linen H&M shorts best though. The bright pink zipper up the back is my favorite, personal touch.

Behind the Lens: A Personal Update

Wow. I am so busy and so exhausted from being busy that I have been losing my mind and my wallets.
Yes, that's right- plural- not just one wallet filled with $300 cash, but three days later- my replacement wallet with my license inside.
I feel like a completely insane person, waking up early, getting my daughter to school, talking to clients while editing photos and eating lunch at my desk so that I can read more emails and send out paperwork, blah, blah, blah. I am working till midnight (if not later) and feeling sad about not seeing my daughter and then crazy for losing stuff left and right.
I agree with what you're thinking- I'm too freaking busy. But on a bright note, this crazy season sort of levels off mid- March and I found BOTH wallets. Yayyyy!
One was returned a few days later by a handyman cleaning up a shoot space where I'd been. The other was hanging on my door in my office, haha. I just had to take a moment to actually take a breath and truly look for it.

Behind the Lens: Just Signed with Option

Had a fun shoot with Haley Graham last week. We had a spot of sunshine in the middle of a gorgeous day and she really took advantage!
 I just signed with Option Model and Media recently (as an actress and print model), so these images will be the perfect addition to my book.

I styled the shoot myself. Here I am wearing a Trouve sweater with a pair of vintage cut-offs and my Ego and Greed suede booties. Necklace by Sahlia Michelle.
